2010 VENICE MARATHON - SUPPORT ANGELA'S JOURNEY

On October 24th 2010, Angela Martella will be running in the 2010 Venice Marathon as a part of Team Villa who are running in support of The Columbus Center. Angela aims to help Team Villa by reaching her personal goal of $5,500.00 to donate to the team's goal of $200,000.

The following is an excerpt from her personal page.

Support My Journey
Thank you for visiting my personal page!

I decided to join Team Villa for several reasons. First and foremost our team will raise much needed funds to support seniors in the community, adults with intellectual disabilities and the wonderful cultural and recreational hub, the Columbus Centre. As many of you know I have run one marathon and just can't resist trying it again and where better to do it than in Venice! This time I have a bit of extra motivation -a great cause.

This is a big committment...for me running is about hard work and not innate ability! It means lots of training.   Even though I am running this marathon on my own, I am doing it with the support of other Team Villa members and hopefully, friends and colleagues like you!

The 2010 Team Villa fundraising goal is $200,000 and my personal goal is to raise $5,500. Please support me on my journey as I run in Venice so that our seniors at Villa Colombo continue to receive the culturally sensitive care they need, so that adults with intellectual disabilities can continue to receive job and life training at VITA and so that everyone in the community can discover and enjoy our culture at Columbus Centre. I encourage you to check the Villa Charities Foundation website and learn more about the important services that your donation will support www.villacharities.com

Remember, any donation you make over $20 will receive a tax receipt. Thank you so much! Everyone who makes a pledge takes me one step further to my goal!

With love, sweat, aching muscles and maybe a few tears, GRAZIE!

Ciao for now
Angela
