COMMON SENSE FINANCIAL PLANNING
We believe that financial success is about common sense and good habits. With a little education, encouragement and a dose of self-discipline, anyone can achieve financial success and independence.
The biggest secret that our participants learn is that they can gain wisdom, change behaviour and trust themselves. We teach good financial habits so that you will be able to make wise decisions on your own. We create a detailed financial program together with you that tracks everything - right down to each visit to Tim Horton's and each dollar in the cookie jar or shoebox. And we help you to follow it.
We don't believe in the short-term promise of risky investments. We advise against 'moving target' investments like the stock market in favour of solid, long-term assets such as real estate. And with good reason - did you notice what happened to stock values in late 2008?
You could call us old-fashioned. But strategies that worked for your grandparents during the Depression will work for you. The Program is challenging. Fostering good habits means breaking bad habits - have you ever tried giving up your favourite snack food? We turn bad debt into good debt (such as a mortgage) and ultimately help you to eliminate debt altogether.
One thing is certain: it may not be the greatest-tasting medicine you have ever taken, but boy does it work.
Product-neutral advice
Over the course of the Paladin Program, your Mentor may suggest doing away with financial products you currently have or adding products that will add to your asset base.
What separates us from other financial advisors in this respect is that we take a multi-disciplined, product-neutral approach. We have no vested interest or hidden agenda. We work for your bottom line. Rather than simply suggesting loans or mutual funds or whatever product a financial expert prefers to sell, your Mentor will work with you to create a custom-made financial program and identity the financial products - if any - that are a perfect fit for you.
